The qualifying tournaments for the Road to Rio Major 2020 have begun.
Last Wednesday, both the tournaments in Europe and North America officially started with a big bang.
The best teams in both areas will compete to qualify for the Rio Major in November.
The North America tournament has 12 teams that will compete with each other.
The teams are Evil Geniuses, Team Liquid, 100 Thieves, MiBR, Furia eSports, Bad News Bears, Gen.G Esports, Cloud9, Triumph Gaming, Team Envy, Orgless and Yeah Gaming.
On Friday, matchday 2 will feature Gen.G Sports against Triumph Gaming.
The best-of-three game is set to begin 4:00PM EDT.
Triumph Gaming is coming off a 2-1 win against Cloud9 in their opening match while Gen.G Esports scored an emphatic 2-0 win against 100 Thieves in their matchday 1 game.
These two undefeated teams will go their separate ways once the game ends. One team will remain undefeated and move up in standing.
The losers will contemplate and regroup in their next schedule match.
