On Thursday, the N.Y. Rangers will face the Carolina Hurricanes in a Metropolitan division showdown of the 2023 NHL season.

Game time is set 7:05PM EDT at the PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The New York Rangers are fighting for positioning in the tough Metropolitan division.

They were making grounds on the New Jersey Devils in the division standings but was stalled by division leader Hurricanes in last Tuesday's 3-2 loss.

New York's four-game winning streak and momentum was snapped.

They have a chance to avenge their loss on Thursday's game.

The Carolina Hurricanes begin their four-game homestand against on of their fiercest rivals in the Metropolitan division.

Carolina sits alone at the top of the standings but it only has a two-point lead over the New Jersey Devils.

They want to win as many as possible their remaining games before the playoffs begins.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the Carolina Hurricanes as the favorites to win over the N.Y. Rangers on Thursday night.
