On Saturday, the Union Cycliste Internationale will host the 104th edition of the Tour de France. The Tour de France is the oldest and famous cycling race all over the world. It is one of the three major European cycling competition sanctioned by the Union Cycliste Internationale.
The race will begin with a 14-km individual time trial in Dusseldorf, Germany and will end at the Champs-Elysees stage in Paris on the 23rd of July. This year's Tour de France will consist of 198 riders from 22 teams.
The 21-stage race will feature two individual time trials and the remaining nineteen stages are a mixed of flat, hilly and mountain stages. Stage 19 from Embrun to Salon-de-Provence is the longest route at 222.5 km while Stage 13 from Saint-Girons to Foix is the shortest at 101 km.
Three-time champion Chris Froome will gun for his third straight Tour de France title and 4th overall. Chris Froome will again spearhead Team Sky's campaign in the Tour de France. He will be joined by fellow cyclists Christian Knees, Michal Kwiatkowksi, Mikel Landa, Mikel Nieve and Luke Rowe.
