The South Course of the Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio will host the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational from August 3 up to August 6. It is a stroke play event with 75 players who qualified and was invited in such a prestigious event.
Players will tee off on both the first and tenth holes in two and three balls. The change was made due to the threat of storm in the afternoon. One of the marquee groups to see will be the trio of Open champion Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy and Jason Day.
Rory McIlroy has a chance to move to No. 2 in the world ranking if he finishes the week with the win. Defending champion Dustin Johson will tee off at the 10th tee together with US Open winner Brooks Koepka and World No. 3 Hideki Matsuyama.
The sportsbook handicappers have installed Jordan Spieth as the favorite to win the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational on Sunday noon.
