The Murcar Links Golf Club in Aberdeen, Scotland will host the inaugural Saltire Energy Paul Lawrie Match Play starting July 30 until August 2.
Tournament host Paul Lawrie has played an active role in staging and promotion of the tournament in his home turf. Sixty four players including John Daly will play head to head in a straight knockout format.
An intriguing first round match up will feature Paul Lawrie against youngster Romain Wattel. The round will also feature an all-English match up between Andrew Johnston and Graeme Storm. The final match of the day will be a South American affair between Felipe Aguilar and Fabrizio Zanotti.
The sportsbook handicappers have installed Richie Ramsay as the favorite to win the inaugural Saltire Energy Paul Lawrie Match Play. Marc Warren, Chris Wood and David Howell are among his strongest challengers.
