The race will cover a distance of 5,834 meters and has twenty two fences that each horse will jump throughout the race. A total of eighteen horses have confirmed their participation for the race.
2013 Betfred Classic Chase winner Shotgun Paddy is among the field of 18. Shotgun Paddy will also be joined by Carruthers, who placed 2nd in last year's race. Other elite horses in the field are Theatrical Star, Global Power, Rigadin De Beauchene, Return Spring and Benbane Head.
The horse race handicappers have installed Return Spring as the horse to beat at the Betfred Classic Chase on Saturday. Shotgun Paddy and Benbane Head are Return Spring's fiercest competitors in the race.
