2013 NBA Season:Brooklyn Nets vs. Philadelphia 76ersJanuary 08, 2012 by Marc Jerbs

On Tuesday, the Brooklyn Nets visits the Philadelphia 76ers for their 2nd matchup of the season at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA. Tipoff is set at 7PM ET. The Nets leads this season's head-to-head with a 95-92 win last December 23.

The inspired Brooklyn Nets hopes to win its fourth straight game when they play the Philadelphia 76ers. The Net have won five of their last six games under interim coach P.J. Carlesimo.

With a new coach, the Nets have averaged 112.7 points during their latest winning streak and also increased their rebounding margin to +4. Sophomore guard MarShon Brooks has now the luxury to play in extended minutes under Carlesimo. Brooks showed a lot of promise during in their last six games. He knows how to contribute on the floor when he's around with Deron Williams and Joe Johnson.

The 76ers are coming off a six-game road trip. However, this road trip was the hardest in their season schedule. Philadelphia played three straight back-to-back games among the elite teams in the West. The players were tired and weary during their road games.

The 76ers do have the luxury of a two-game hiatus after their 6-game road trip. Expect them rejuvenated and focused when they face the Nets in front of the capacity crowd at the Wells Fargo Center.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the Philadelphia 76ers as a 1-point favorite to beat the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday night.
