2011 NBA Finals Game 4:Dallas Mavericks vs. Miami HeatJune 07, 2011 by Marc Jerbs

On Tuesday, the Dallas Mavericks plays the Miami Heat in Game 4 of the 2011 NBA Finals at the American Airlines Center. Tip off is set at 9PM ET.

The Dallas Mavericks once again rallied from a 15-point deficit in Game 3 but this time was denied by Chris Bosh's tie-braking 16-footer and Udonis Haslem's last second defense on Dirk Nowitzki. The Heat now has a 2-1 series lead going to Game 4 on Tuesday night.

The Mavs must have a fast start in Game 4. They played poorly in the 1st half on the first three games of the NBA Finals. A slow start tends to deplete the Mavs energy during crunch time since they need to exert extract effort to trim the lead of the Heat.

Dirk Nowitzki may demand the ball during the payoff period but other Mavericks players must step since the Heat's defense is concentrated on Nowitzki. It was evident in Games 1 and 3 that Heat's defense showdown the offensive of threat of Shawn Marion, Jason Terry and Jason Kidd. This made life more miserable for Dirk Nowitzki as he was force to carry the team on his back all the time.

The Miami Heat would have a 3-0 series lead if they have not suffered a meltdown in Game 2. But with a 2-1 series lead on their favor, Dwayne Wade knows that he must again lead his team in Game 4. He has every right to lead the Heat since he has the championship experience and title in his veins.

Lebron James may have a quiet offensive contribution in the NBA Finals. But his defense on Jason Terry and on court generalship of the Heat's offense is his strong contribution to his team. Chris Bosh may have not play well in this series, but when the game is on the line he still delivers just like what he has done in his Raptors' days.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the Dallas Maverick as a 3-point favorite to beat and tie the series against the Miami Heat. This came could end up as another cliffhanger, it's a toss up between these two teams.
