2010 Stanley Cup Finals:Chicago Blackhawks vs
Philadelphia FlyersMay 26, 2010 by Bryan Polks

On Saturday night, the Western Conference champion Chicago Blackhawks will host the opening game of the Stanley Cup Finals against the Eastern Conference champion Philadelphia Flyers at United Center.

This is a compelling Stanley Cup match up between two teams who are looking to end their struggles and hardship in the NHL. The Chicago Blackhawks hopes to end their 49-year stretch of frustration in hoisting the Lord Stanley trophy. The Philadelphia Flyers are also out to seek redemption and glory after winning the last Stanley Cup titles in 1974 and 1975. Both of these teams are passionate and hungry to end their title less drought and search for the bright lights of glory.

The key factor in this series is the match up between the Flyer's top defensive duo of Matt Carle and Chris Pronger against the Blackhawks' offensive line of Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews and Dustin Byfuglien. These three players would be a tough customer for the Flyer's Carke and Pronger. They should review the tape on the series between the Blackhawks against Canuck and Sharks. It was the trio of Kane, Toews and Byfuglien that do the most damaged offensively which catapulted them as the Western Conference champions this season.

The hockey handicappers have installed the Chicago Blackhawks as the clear favorite to win the opening game of the Stanley Cup Finals against the Philadelphia Flyers.
